Host Hotel to Auckland Domain
Walking or warming-up jogging:
Exactly 1km (2/3 mile ) from the Cordis Hotel, mostly flat, slightly uphill to the Domain - From the hotel turn right onto Symonds Street then left onto and across Grafton Bridge, cross straight and walk up Park Road and Auckland Domain will come up on your left.
Public Transport:
The 866 and 966 buses travel the length of Grafton Bridge and Park Road to the City Hospital, reducing the walking distance
Drive:
5 minutes (2.1km) from central Auckland. There is plenty of parking near the Domain. You are strongly advised to park in George Street, 400m from the Grandstand, or in other side roads near but not on the Domain. Please do not park in Football Road on the Domain since that is a key road on the race course. Although there is parking at the Grandstand this should be reserved for those setting up and operating the races - anyone else will get in the way and may be trapped until after the awards have been presented.
